I saw a headline the other day that just said, “Carrots are in season.” Not exactly life-changing news… unless you're really into carrots.
But it got me thinking... there are actual seasons for vegetables. Times when they’re ripe, full of flavor, ready to be picked. And honestly? I wondered if I’m like that with my faith. Am I only “in season” when life feels easy, or when I’m feeling extra spiritual?
Paul told Timothy to “Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season” (2 Timothy 4:2). That means always. Because you never know when someone’s going to need hope... or when God might use you to share it.
So maybe it’s not just carrots that need to be ready. Maybe we do too.
