Just like many of us secure our homes every night by checking the locks and making sure the cameras are working, we need to think about our spiritual security too. 1 Peter 5:8 warns us, "Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy, the devil, is prowling around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour."
Cameras and locks might keep physical intruders at bay, but it's our consistent prayer and knowledge of God's Word that shields us from spiritual dangers. Prayer is our spiritual lock, and God's Word is the light that keeps the enemy at a distance.
