Right after Easter, one of the first things Jesus did was show up for someone who didn’t believe.
Thomas had walked closely with Jesus, seen the miracles, and heard all the teaching... yet after the resurrection, he couldn’t wrap his head around the idea that Jesus was alive. His friends said they saw Him, but Thomas needed more. He needed to see the scars.
And Jesus didn’t scold him for that. He showed up. He met Thomas in his doubt and gave him exactly what he needed to believe again.
That gives me so much comfort, because I’ve had moments like that too. And maybe you have. Moments when belief felt just out of reach. But Jesus isn’t afraid of our doubts. He meets us there and gently reminds us of who He is.
John 20:29 says, “Then Jesus told him, ‘Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.’”
If that’s where you are today - in a place of doubt - Jesus sees you.
