Kermit The Frog Is The Guest Speaker At Graduation

Listen to Kermit The Frog Is The Guest Speaker At Graduation

Kermit the Frog gave the commencement speech at the University of Maryland this year... and honestly, he crushed it.

First of all, what a fun surprise. And second, he brought actual wisdom (as only a Muppet can). He told a story about playing leapfrog as a kid in the swamp - except his cousin Albert didn’t really leap. He stepped on people to get ahead. And then Kermit said something that stuck with me: “Rather than jumping over someone to get what you want, consider reaching out your hand and taking the leap side by side.”

That’s not just good graduation advice - it’s solid biblical wisdom too. Philippians 2:3 says, “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.”

Life really is better when we leap together.
