Making a roast usually means peeling carrots, which always makes a mess. Well, the other day, as I was trying to toss the shavings, the bowl slipped, scattering them everywhere. It was a mess, and it got me thinking about the bigger messes in my life – the ones I couldn’t clean up on my own. Thankfully, unlike my kitchen fiasco, we have someone who takes care of our messes for us.
Romans 5:1 says, “Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
It's not about us cleaning up; it's about being made clean through Christ's mercy.
