Graduation is such a big moment – standing in your cap and gown, hearing your name called, and walking across that stage. It’s a rite of passage, a moment of pride and accomplishment.
But for some students, that moment almost didn’t happen. In Wichita, Kansas, over 200 students had outstanding lunch debts that would have kept them from participating in their graduation ceremonies. They would have technically graduated, but without the chance to walk the stage, it just wouldn’t feel the same.
Then a local company stepped in with a $10,000 donation to pay off those lunch balances, clearing the way for these students to walk with their classmates.
I love this so much, because it’s a reminder that a little kindness can make a big difference in someone’s life.
