Should You Text This Information To Someone?

Some conversations with Jeremy start simple, like “What’s our Hulu password?” and then turn into a whole philosophical discussion about digital safety.

Instead of just texting it back, he pauses and says, “Hmm… is it even safe to send this over text?” And then somehow, we’re talking about hackers, privacy settings, and the remote possibility of someone watching free TV on our account. 

But in all seriousness, it is worth thinking about what you should and shouldn’t text. Experts say things like Social Security numbers, bank info, and full passwords (especially if you use them for multiple accounts) are best kept off your phone.

But your Hulu login? Probably okay, as long as you’re not sending it to a stranger!
