Known as The Man with the Golden Arm, James had a rare antibody in his blood that helped protect unborn babies from a deadly blood disorder. After receiving life-saving transfusions as a teenager, he spent 63 years donating plasma every two weeks - saving over 2 million lives, including his own grandchildren.
