I almost gave up on college. I had the books, I was enrolled – but I stopped going to class. I watched friends graduate and figured I’d missed my shot. But then a few friends started encouraging me: You’re not too far gone. You can still finish.
Their words helped me believe again. And it reminded me how powerful encouragement really is – not just in school, but in faith. When you think you’ve messed up too much or wandered too far, you need someone to say, Don’t give up. God’s not done with you.
Hebrews 10:35–36 says, “So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.”
Maybe today, you’re the one who needs to hear that. Or maybe you’re the one who needs to say it to someone else. Either way – don’t underestimate the power of encouragement. It might be the reason someone keeps going.
